I think that Nat Turner's Rebellion was really brave! I think him and his friends were mentally strong. I felt like they were not afraid at all. I think this is considered one of the many events that led to the war was because this time really shook people. I felt like it got lots of people's attention. Also, I thought since they killed so many that people were scared.....and scared of their slaves.

I was inspired with lots of courage. It made me feel like I could do something and would most likely make a difference! I think it is considered one of the events because it made a differnce. Also it made people in the South feel that they should fight to keep slaves legal!

I think it was cruel of Nat Turner and the people that helped him to just go out and kill 60 white people because they were not being treated fairly. But I also know that he was feeling angry for being treated like he wasn't even a person.

I think this lead to the Civil war because it showed that the slaves wont just lay down and wait for slavery to end. I also it was extremely brave to attack.

I also think it lead to the Civil war because it put southern whites on a defensive side.

I think Nat Turner was very brave and courageous to fight for freedom. He stood up for what he believed in, and tried his best. I do think this led up to the war because as Sophie said, it really scared people. All of a sudden, after the slave "scare", wealthy white people became kind of scared of their slaves, because they might try to kill their masters, and other people like Nat Turner did.

I agree Erin! Nat Turner was definitely brave & courageous to to fight for freedom. He also was taking a lot of risky chances that most people would never even think of doing.

I think that the rebellion was a bad idea because even if they could kill some slave owners they could not kill them all. It was a still a bad idea because they would get some weapons but the army would still get them. Finally it was a bad idea because they were still to many flaws in the plan like some whites could attack in shear numbers and they could die with a lot of flaws.

It lead to the civil war because when Nat turner and has group attacked the white people in the south they tryed so hard to try to end slavery and be free, and working so hard .That later the north went to the civil war to fight againist slavery. So that's why Nat turner and his slave group later lead to the civil war.

I think that the reason it is considered one of the many events that led up to the civil war is that it was a mini-Civil War. It was slaves (like the North) versus slavery and slave owners (the South). My reactions are that it was another person who was fighting for something he believed in but didn't fight slavery in the best way (like John Brown).

I think it was really brave! first of all i don't think most slaves would ever think of killing there owners. I think that it led to the war because it helped the north to know that there were some slaves that were brave enough to kill there owners.

When i first saw this picture i got very interested in the Civil War. I thought," Go Nat Turner show them what youv'e got!" I also thought this made a big diffrent's in the Civil War and slavery because the North and the South were alredy fighting about slavery. I think when they heard this news it changed how the South felt about slavery more then ever. But the North was probubly happy that a someone took a chance.

I think that Nat Turner's rebellion was a little over the top. But if I was a slave, I would do that but I wouldn't want to be killed. I think that it was one of the reasons it lead up to the Civil War is that it scared white people. The rebellion of Nat Turner was scary, so the master would kill slaves for "random" occasions or when the slaves killed there master because they were so fed up.

I think nat Turners reaction was reasonable because i think slavery was a horrible thing not being a slave. I think it was a main event because the war was mostly about slavery and what he did was horrible but in his point of view it was a good deed paid to the slave owners.

I think nat turner is a bold brave man.I think this led up the war because white people were afraid of black people and so then the would split up. This why I think this led up to the war

I thought he was very brave and kind hearted. A normal soul would have been to scared to risk their lives. But, he did and he had the heart too. I think he was a GREAT leader, a role modal to follow. I want to follow his foot steps someday and be a leader like him. (But i would not die). I would gather all my soul and risk my life for others.

I think Nat Turner was very brave to go and fight against armed people. He could of died. Although he was brave I think he could of thought through the plan before taking action. Because his plan did back fire and he was captured and hung. I think he was one of the things that led to the civil war because the southerners were probably afraid more whites will start attacking to gain slaves freedom. -Abbie

I think what Nat Turner did was really brave but not a good idea. He stood up for himself and did not doubt himself. He did not put anything in his way.
